GMOs (or “genetically modified organisms”) are organisms whose genetic material has been artificially manipulated in a laboratory through genetic engineering, or GE. This relatively new science creates unstable combinations of plant, animal, bacteria and viral genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods.

Don't miss your chance to get the facts on GMO's Come listen or call in and ask your quetions as we interview Caroline Kinsman of the Non-GMO Project (NonGMOproject.org).

The Non GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building the non-GMO food supply, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices. Dead Doctors Don't Lie has sold more than 300 MILLION COPIES! The Author, Dr. Joel WallachThe wrote that best-selling book to declare the truths about natural, whole food nutrition and has battled the government for the right to speak about the health benefits of natural whole food nutrition products.

Since that time Dr. Joel Wallach has become the most sought-after guests and speakers on the subject. He is also the Founder of Youngevity and author of two, alternative health books.

In "Let's Play Doctor," he reviews over 400 diseases and describes his own naturopathic strategies for dealing with each and in his second book, "Rare Earths: Forbidden Cures," he sounds the alarm concerning the lack of minerals in our range and crop soils and demonstrates the relationship between impoverished soils, mineral deficiencies in our diet and degenerative disease.

Introduction
Forget what you thought you already knew about our small planet. Dave Gardner the Director of Growth Busters share how we must learn to live more sustainably or risk serious consequences. This is an interview that I went into thinking I had a grasp of the topic, but I was wrong. Gardner will challenge you with facts and ideas you won’t hear anywhere else.

Summary
Dave Gardner is the Director of GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth, a documentary about overpopulation and growth.
The Movie shows how from Las Vegas to Atlanta, Mexico City to Mumbai, the White House to the Vatican, GrowthBusters we are all focused on growth. He describes it as Wild Kingdom with a twist: the cameras are turned on humanity as our own survival skills are examined. GrowthBusters: Hooked on Growth looks into the psychology of denial and crowd behavior. It explores our obsession with urban and economic growth, and our reluctance to address overpopulation issues head-on and holds up a mirror, encouraging us to examine the beliefs and behaviors we must leave behind – and the values we need to embrace – so our children can survive and thrive.

Enjoy!

Black Lives Matter (BLM) originally aired 11/17/2015. I am adding it to my podcast because it is more important today as it was then. It has been one of my most popular shows at ChrisTinney.com

This show is to introduce the Black Lives Matter movement to people that may (like me) not have people they can ask in their life. That alone says a lot about why this show is so needed, yes?

When you hear my guests you will forever have a better understanding of #BlackLivesMatter and the movement whether you agree or not. I hope you get inspired.

Food Not Bombs has proven to be an effective project for social change. For the past 35 years, volunteers have served the homeless vegan and vegetarian meals around the world. Often described as a movement it all began when the first volunteers were arrested for feeding the homeless. In this episode we get Up Cose with Keith McHenry, Co-Founder of Food Not Bombs and Author of "Hungry for Peace". Keith will share how it all started and the challenges volunteers face in many states where it's now illegal to feed the homeless. Keith passionately makes the case that we should take action to end hunger, poverty, and war providing shocking evidence that our future is in peril if we sit by and do nothing.

GUEST BIO - Keith McHenry
Artist, activist, and author Keith McHenry co-founded Food Not Bombs in Boston with seven friends in 1980. He enjoyed his childhood living at the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Shenandoah and several other National Parks. Keith studied painting at Boston University and started a graphic design company called Brushfire Graphics. He has recovered, cooked and shared food with the hungry with Food Not Bombs for over 30 years. Keith was arrested "for making a political statement" by sharing vegan meals in San Francisco, spent a total two years in jail and faced 25 years to life in prison. He has written two books including "Hungry for Peace - How you can help end poverty and war with Food Not Bombs." Keith lives with his partner and fellow Food Not Bombs activist, Abbi Samuels, in Santa Cruz, California and at their farm in Taos, New Mexico and tending to their gardens, sharing meals with the hungry, maintaining the movement's websites and helping coordinate logistics for Food Not Bombs.
